“The LORD knows how to rescue godly men[women] from trials.”
(2 Peter 2:9)
Often when we’re facing a trail in our lives, we ask, “Why? Why did this happen to me? Why now?  What’s the purpose of this?” Sometimes we get so caught up in focusing on why something happened that we lose sight of how to push through it.
We may never know exactly why certain things happen in this life.  We may never understand why recent events have taken place in this Nation that use to be known under the banner “IN GOD WE TRUST.”  Nonetheless, we have to trust God—even when it makes no sense whatsoever.
We struggle with our faith sometimes because we like to think we’re reasonable, intelligent, logical people.  We are well informed, educated, and technologically—and scientifically—advanced.  We are used to finding answers and having them follow a kind of pattern or logic.
However, in matters of faith, we are often forced to suspend our insistence on understanding and instead embrace our trust in the LORD.  That may feel fragile or even flimsy at times, and other people will not always understand, but when we have a relationship with God, we know His Character, His heart, and His goodness!  He loves us.  He hurts with us.  And He rescues us.  Even if it is not the way we want Him to.
